Well today is Friday and we have completed our 1st week of home schooling. Grace is doing pre-K, Owen is in Kindergarten, and Isabelle is in 1st. If you would have told me not too long ago that I would be home schooling I would have said "I don't have the patience for that." Or "I am not smart enough to home school." It is funny what you are capable of when you develop a passion for it. I was so scared and stressed out in the beginning. All the research seemed daunting. But now that we are in our second year of this, it is: Fun, Exciting, and Rewarding. I feel great knowing that I am not only teaching them reading writing and arithmetic but I am also putting a strong emphasis on character building. Something in which I think public schools need to incorporate. I may not home school for ever, but for now I pray about it and go with what I think is right for our family. I love spending the time with the kids. I know one day I will wake up and they will be all grown up. I don't want to miss one minute of it.
Here are some first day of school pic's:
I love this pic. The kids are walking back into the house for school.
Doing school work.
