Today I went to the Home School Room to find a few items for home schooling 1st grade. I used Horizons for kindergarten math and found 1st grade there the other day. Well I needed something for phonics/reading once we are done with Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. As I looked through tons of options I started to get overwhelmed and questioned my ability to teach 1st grade. Right when I was going to give up my search I looked up and while saying "God let me find something" I saw a complete box set of Horizons Phonics and Reading. I was so excited. I did not even know Horizons made other programs other than Math. Then I realized that I need a spelling curriculum as well. I looked through several things and again was getting discouraged. Then I spotted Horizons Spelling I got a great deal on both.We also have My Fathers World for Science. As well as a childrens devotional, and Hooked on Spanish. Now I am ready to start teaching 1st grade.
